There is a new painting on the side of a public restroom on the Queensway parking lot at the waterfront depicting a street along the waterfront near the Sails on which there are five highrise buildings. As Mayor Walter Gray claims that Lawson Landing doesn't have city council pre-approval, where did the artist get this concept from as there presently are no highrises in the area? Or perhaps this is a deliberate attempt by the city to get the public used to the idea of highrises on the waterfront.

Apparently, this mural was approved for display by the Downtown Kelowna Association. That is the impression left by an e-mail that I received from Clint McKenzie, President. The DKA supports Lawson Landing, but Mr. McKenzie claims this mural has nothing to do with L.L. But then George W. Bush said that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and most Americans believed him too.
