Wahoo! Today the Kelowna Daily Courier published a story stating that the plans for the 20 storey Westin Hotel in the north part of the downtown are "dead". According to the paper, the plan was scrapped because of disappointing level of pre-sales for condo units there. Lets hope that the investors come back with a proposal that is more human scale in its height and mass than the monstrosity that was being proposed for this site. Furthermore, perhaps the failure to pre-sell enough of the units that were priced between $336,900 and $2.3 million will discourage Phil Milroy from going ahead with his Kelowna Downtown Waterfront Village development.
